Over the past two years, my work has focused primarily on TypeScript and Node.js. Project co-created with David Lázaro (@_dlazaro) for practising Cambridge and APTIS speaking exams in the browser, with an estimated CEFR level and feedback on grammar, vocabulary, fluency and pronunciation.

My contribution End-to-end development: speaking practice experience, AI assessment pipeline, authentication, payments, tests and operational automation.

Origins & learning
B1deingles started as a personal development idea with David Lázaro (@_dlazaro), to learn by working with AI: from coding agents to integrating models into a real product. We are now also learning about distribution: how to get the product in front of the people it can help.

PictoEscritura 2.0

At PictoEscritura we started a machine learning project to personalise learning based on student interactions. I helped develop the personalisation engine using multi-armed bandits and reinforcement learning, with a Ruby on Rails backend, Python ML/NLP services and a React frontend. PictoEscritura 2.0 received CDTI R&D support in 2021. This is where my interest in artificial intelligence began.

Motivation & approach

AI-native, from idea to production.

My journey in AI began at PictoEscritura, where we worked on a machine learning project for inclusive, adaptive learning, supported by CDTI in 2021. Applying ML to a real educational problem sparked my interest in the field. Today I’m especially interested in agents: giving them context, connecting tools, coordinating their work and evaluating their results.

I’m particularly interested in teams where agentic development is the everyday way of working and engineers help shape product decisions. This is my daily practice: owning delivery, giving agents context and taking responsibility for the quality of the result.

Agentic coding

I use Claude Code, Codex and Cursor as my primary development environment. I specify tasks, orchestrate agents and review code and tests. I configure project rules, MCP, slash commands and hooks to give agents the context they need.

Harnesses & teams

I design harnesses and agentic workflows with subagents, guardrails and regression evals. I’m motivated by establishing shared standards that help teams work autonomously while maintaining quality.

End-to-end ownership

I analyse business problems, define solutions and ship features, websites, landing pages, services, integrations and data layers. I communicate trade-offs to stakeholders and work with marketing, design and product to create and iterate on digital assets.

Frontend & experience

I develop with React, Next.js and Astro. I design reusable architectures and design systems; optimise mock-ups and performance; and use unit and end-to-end tests and tools that let design, marketing and product iterate.

Backend & architecture

I build services and enterprise integrations with Node.js and TypeScript, REST/GraphQL APIs. I address data modelling, security and scalability, integrate AI models and automate operational workflows.

Quality & impact

I combine unit and end-to-end tests with CI/CD, performance monitoring and error and regression alerts. I measure the impact of iterations to inform the next product decisions.
